Then I lost weight, but it seemed not enough to fit some people.
In 2012, famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld apologized after describing the Grammy Award winner as "obese".
Adele replied.
"I never wanted to look like models on magazine covers," the 23-year-old told People. "I represent the majority of women and I am proud of that."
Around the same time, she discussed body image with Anderson Cooper from CNN during "60 Minutes" interview and said she had never felt pressured to look in a certain way.
And she said, "I've never seen magazine covers and watched music videos and I was like, I want to look like this if I wanted to be successful."

Adele's image made a lot of noise by some on social media, as people were already thinking about apparent weight loss in January.
That's when TMZ published a headline titled "Adele Now fans say she gets it ... not everyone can be satisfied."
The comment on Adele looking svelte came after her photos were posted on the beach in Anguilla.
